Grace Colored Glasses encourages integrated programs, inspired through Lived-Experience, to promote healing, reduce/prevent substance misuse, address trauma-related harm, and promote whole-person healing with a focus on faith-centered, trauma-informed practices.
Looking FORWARD, with a Clear Lens... 1. Devotion With Motion (DWM) is a faith-centered, trauma-informed, chair-based Worship in Motion program designed to promote healing, prevent substance misuse, address trauma-related harm, and support whole-person restoration—spiritually, emotionally, and physically. Rooted in lived experience and guided by Scripture, DWM integrates gentle movement, breath regulation, calming music, and devotional reflection to encourage active participation in the healing process. The program was prayerfully developed by the founder of Grace Colored Glasses as an expression of obedience to God’s call to honor and care for the body He created, even after seasons of suffering, neglect, or violation. DWM invites participants to grow in self-awareness, resilience, and spiritual renewal as they seek deeper healing through Christ. The program encourages individuals to abide in God’s love, pursue personal restoration, and walk forward in faith—uniting mind, body, and spirit in service to His purpose. James 4:3 is a guiding Scripture. "Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts." Participants may include individuals affected by trauma, chronic pain or illness, emotional dysregulation, addiction, limited mobility, stress, or social isolation. DWM is not a substitute for medical care, counseling, or structured exercise programs. Rather, it provides encouragement, accountability, and supportive community to promote healthy self-care and ongoing healing. The program emphasizes safety, choice, respectful pacing, and body awareness. Participants are encouraged to practice personal responsibility and self-regulation. Sessions may be offered both in person and via Zoom. It is accessible to individuals with varying physical abilities and may be implemented in churches, support groups, senior programs, recovery ministries, and community wellness settings. The format is adaptable in length and intensity, making it suitable for diverse audiences and environments. Through prayer, movement, Scripture, and fellowship, Devotion With Motion seeks to restore hope, strengthen faith, and empower individuals to live fully and freely in Christ. 2. Heritage Messenger Ministry (HMM) As a Creative Message & Angel Outreach Ministry, Heritage Messenger Ministry facilitates creative outreach activities, including the crafting of symbolic items such as angels, which are given away as Messages of Hope and Encouragement. These activities serve both the maker and the recipient by promoting focus, calm, purpose, and connection. Giving and Receiving is Healing, in and of itself.
Creative Activity is used as a trauma-informed practice that supports emotional regulation and reinforces a sense of meaning, generosity, and community engagement—protective factors against relapse, depression, and despair.
Focusing on the needs of others allows the Craft Creator to take the Focus off of their own pain and suffering, improving their mindset and view on life. It also develops improved eye/hand coordination and provides opportunities to practice basic life skills, such as: * Sewing on a button * Threading a needle * Sewing a simple stitch * Tying knots, cutting, and measuring * Following directionsAppropriate for a wide age-range. 3. Truth-Based Prevention Advocacy Grace Colored Glasses engages in prevention and advocacy that emphasizes honesty, trauma awareness, and root-cause prevention through the Lens of Lived Experience. Rather than relying on fear-based messaging, the organization promotes positive, truthful information about substance use/misuse, the impact of trauma on behavior, and the importance of supportive, faith-centered, holistic pathways to healing. This advocacy is based on personal lived experience and is focused on personal responsibility, authentic connection, health awareness, God-empowerment, and advocating for Truth and Accountability in Patient Care Systems, at all levels.

VIEW

Our Core Values (based on Lived Experience) Grace & Truth We believe lasting healing begins with God’s grace and is sustained through honesty, accountability, and truth-telling—especially in prevention and education. Prevention with Purpose We prefer early, compassionate prevention that addresses root causes such as trauma or isolation and acknowledges the dangers of over-medicating children and young adults, which, we believe, puts them at greater risk for addiction and neurodevelopmental disorders. Trauma-Informed Care We honor the impact of trauma on the nervous system and commit to practices that emphasize safety, choice, dignity, and regulation. Faith-Centered Healing We affirm that spiritual connection and relationship with God are central to deep and lasting restoration of the Mind, Body, and Spirit. Whole-Person Restoration We recognize that healing is embodied and must be acknowledged. Through movement, breath, creativity, service, and community, we support the rewiring of unhealthy patterns toward peace and resilience. Service & Giving We believe healing expands when it is shared. Acts of service—such as crafting and gifting symbolic items—are integral to our mission of connection and HOPE. Community & Connection We encourage environments of belonging where individuals are seen, heard, and supported without judgment or pressure.

Devotion With Motion is a first step to do mild movements, somatic breathing, sound appreciation, testimony and prayer. Please clear the activity with your Provider.
